Pulses UK is the trade association representing producers, processors and users of British and other pulse crops, mainly combining peas and field beans.
The British Dal Festival is an initiative of the Pulses UK, seeking to raise awareness of the uses and benefits of all pulses, with a focus on those grown in the UK, particularly fava beans and different varieties of peas, including carlins, marrowfats, and both split and whole green and yellow peas.
The aims of Pulses UK are to:
Encourage the production of British pulses in the UK and pulses worldwide
Encourage the consumption of all pulses both in the UK and worldwide, with a focus on British
Further the education of pulses to the UK public
